Solo anchors two-hour weekend morning show, KXAN News Today. Reports general assignment and Medical beat during weekday evening shows. Previously, was the live reporter during four-hour weekday morning show. Proudly represents the station at numerous community events.

Oct. 2002- May 2016     Anchor/Reporter/Host, WJZ-TV/Baltimore, MD 

Anchored weekend morning show and weekly public affairs show “On Time.” Also responsible for gathering and writing hard-hitting news and “personality-driven” feature stories. Adept and comfortable with live daily reporting and impromptu interview segments; cultivates original sources and story ideas daily. 

Aug. 2006 - Dec 2013     Adjunct Professor, Morgan State Univ./Baltimore, MD

Taught advanced broadcast reporting, radio announcing and writing courses to undergraduate students.

July 2004 - Dec. 2008     Morning Anchor, WPGC-FM/Washington, D.C.

Produced and solo anchored radio newscast, including weather and sports, on top-rated “Donnie Simpson Morning Show.”

Noon show anchor. Gathered and wrote news and Education stories. Responsible for daily story ideas, creative live shots and developing community contacts.

Mar. 2000 - June 2000     Reporter, TV3 News/Dublin, Ireland

Reported hard general news and medical stories for nightly health segment. Produced foreign news segment and original local stories. First African-American television reporter at a commercial TV news staion in Ireland.

Reported and wrote breaking news and feature stories in the Local and Neighbors sections. Developed community sources and in-depth story ideas. Responsible for producing at least two stories a day.
